FAQs

Everything you need to know about getting your vehicle detailed!
What is Detailing a Car?
Detailing is the process of cleaning, restoring, and surpassing the current condition of the vehicle to help bring back that almost new car look. Detail jobs can consist of exterior and window washes, wheel cleaning, and/or interior cleaning with a vacuum, dashboard cleaning, and conditioning products, with the option to build additional custom services depending on the want and/or need of the client.
What does detailing a car consist of?
Depending on the package you choose, a detail can include an exterior job, an interior job, both, or more. Basic exterior washes typically include wheel and tire cleaning, exterior paint wash with a dedicated car soap product, window cleaning to a streak-free clarity, an optional light to medium durability wax (depending on the selected package), and tire dressing (shine).
Why is detailing your vehicle important?
Detailing your vehicle will help keep it looking its very best, just as regular car maintenance will keep it running its best. Detailing protects your vehicle's paint and interior finishes, removes stains and odors you might not be able to remove yourself, and helps retain your car’s resale value for when you're ready to sell- experts recommend a thorough detail on vehicles prior to resale to improve your chance of a significantly higher resale evaluation.
Can doing a shampoo/extraction in the interior remove stains?
Doing a shampoo service in the interior of your vehicle is a great option to help remove stains, spills, odors, and more out of your vehicle’s upholstery. Unfortunately, it is not a guaranteed service to get rid of 100% of all your upholstery stains. Many factors can affect the result, such as what type of product caused the stain, how long it ’s been sitting on the surface of the upholstery, and other variable factors that can affect the end result of the job. Unfortunately, detailers are not miracle workers, but we can assure you that a shampoo job will give you significantly cleaner results than when it was first started; despite any remnants of permanent staining, you will feel the cleanliness in your car.
Why does it cost so much?
Every detailer's price can vary from company to company and what they offer. A good quality detailing service will have premium prices for their services.

At Midwest Auto Labs, our pricing reflects more than a service. It reflects our quality assurance, use of premium products, top-rated customer service, and our satisfaction guarantee.
